Established in 2019, SEI-Futong Submarine Power Cables Co., Ltd. (FSS), is located in the marine industry cluster area of Zhoushan Archipelago New District, Zhejiang. It is jointly funded by Futong Group, a top 500 Chinese enterprise and Sumitomo Electric Industrial, a top 500 company in the world. Futong Group occupies 51% of the shares, and Sumitomo Electric Industry occupies 49%.
The research and development direction of FSS is large-scale, long-distance marine cables and submarine optic/electric composite cables, mainly for the R&D, manufacturing and sales of a full range of products such as high-voltage and ultra-high voltage submarine power cables, submarine optical cables, submarine optic/electric composite cables, marine cables, umbilical cables, offshore drilling platform cables, offshore wind power generation cables, etc.
